Junior LTR Camp Dimond High School Pool Session (June 3 )

Juniors and adult volunteers needed to help move barge into pool area, assemble barge, be in the pool during barge training, disassemble barge, take barge out of pool area, move ergs to and fro and generally be helpful. 8-10 folks are an optimal number.

If you are willing to be in the pool, please indicate that when you sign up, then bring your swim suit and towel.

National Learn to Row Day (June 3 )

Welcome! In honor of National Learn to Row Day, Anchorage Rowing Association invites you to take a FREE learn to row lesson at Sand Lake on Saturday, June 4 noon - three pm. Park at Sand Lake Elementary School and walk down the path on the south side of the school. All equipment and coaching provided. Close-fitting shorts or tights recommended.

ARA Members:
We will need folks to help move equipment to the lake, help participants sign waivers, row with the guests and put equipment away. Basically, be enthusiastic ambassadors for rowing :-)

FAIRBANKS SOLSTICE ROW (June 24 - 25)

Former ARA Coach Ben invites rowers to the Fairbanks Solstice Row on Chena Lakes near Fairbanks on June 24-25. This event will be for small boats (1x, 2x, and 2-) and perhaps 4x/4+.

Please list your travel dates/carpool openings/camping plans next to your name so that those looking for a ride share can contact you.

There are plenty of campgrounds and RV spaces in the park. There are also campgrounds on one of the islands if folks wanted to do a row in camping trip.
