Visiting Rowers

Visiting rowers are always welcome at Anchorage Rowing Association no matter when you come to Alaska. The map to our shell pen on Sand Lake is in the gray bar to the right where we row May through October. If you are visiting AK in the winter you can look us up doing what every rower loves...erging!

Email our team manager at teammanager@anchoragerowing.com if you are planning a trip and want to fit us in. If you are already in Anchorage please look at our practice days/times here for an idea of when you can join us. Your first two rows are free, you'll just be hosted/sponsored by one of our rowers. We have a guest rower fee of $20 for your next two visits.

If you are going to be in Anchorage for more than four rows you will need to become an ARA member or give proof that you are a current paid member in good standing of another community rowing club to continue to use guest rower or monthly fees. Also, we now have an affordable rate for experienced college rowers who are in town for short periods of time in either the summer or winter break. You'll need to sign a USROWING Waiver and coordinate with our team manager to connect with our Coaches/rower/host for a short visit or paying fees to be a longer term visitor.
